South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Cherokees now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Knoxville Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. South-Doyle will face a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over Notre Dame (Chattanooga, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Austin-East falls to 0-13 on the campaign. The Roadrunners travel to Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 5-19. Lenoir City lost 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against King's Academy (Seymour, TN)
