Hartford Indians (Hartford, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bangor Vikings (Bangor, MI), 23-5 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Comstock for a Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph - Red challenge on Monday, May 2. Hartford will face a Colts squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Bangor (Bangor, MI). The Colts record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Bangor falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Decatur (Decatur, MI) to face the Raiders in a Southwest 10 challenge on Monday, May 2. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
