Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cranston West for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. Westerly will face a Falcons squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Falcons record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Barrington falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI) to face the Scarlet Knights in a Division 2 A challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Scarlet Knights enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Exeter-West Greenwich lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI)
