Emmett Huskies (Emmett, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Middleton Vikings (Middleton, ID), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host Columbia for a 4A Southern Idaho challenge on Tuesday, May 3.

With the loss, Middleton falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Ridgevue (Nampa, ID) to face the Warhawk in a 4A Southern Idaho challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Warhawk enter the challenge with a record of 7-14. Ridgevue lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Bishop Kelly (Boise, ID)
