North Carolina High School Softball - Swain County bounces Hayesville

April 28, 2022: Hayesville, NC 28904

Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC), 20-11 in a league challenge.

The Maroon Devils now sport a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they host Blue Ridge Sports Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. Swain County will face a Guardians squad coming off a 21-4 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Guardians record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Hayesville falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to face the Braves in a Smoky Mountain 1A challenge on Friday, April 29. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Cherokee won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)
