Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC), 10-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Landrum for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. Union County will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, James F. Byrnes falls to 19-5 on the campaign. The Rebels host Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 17-2. Hillcrest won 15-0 in their recent non-league game against Laurens (Laurens, SC)
