Millbrook Pioneers (Winchester, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kettle Run Cougars (Nokesville, VA), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fauquier for a Northwestern challenge on Tuesday, May 3.

With the loss, Kettle Run falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host James Wood (Winchester, VA) to battle the Colonels in a Northwestern challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 7-6.
