In Thursday's league outing, the visiting KIPP Pride Pride softball team scored a nice 22-7 win over the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars.

Coming up next, the Pride battle the Northwest Halifax Vikings (Littleton, NC) in a Tar Roanoke 1A outing, on Tuesday, May 3. KIPP Pride will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Vikings enter the outing with a 1-4 record after their 29-0 league loss to Warren County (Warrenton, NC).

The Jaguars (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Weldon (Weldon, NC). The Chargers come into the Tar Roanoke 1A game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Weldon gained a win over Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC), 1-0, in a league game.
