Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 19-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Portales for a 4A District 4 challenge on Thursday, April 28. Lovington will face a Rams squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rams record now stands at 12-11.
