Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northern Cambria Colts (Northern Cambria, PA), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Stingers now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cambria Heights for a Heritage challenge on Monday, May 2. Marion Center will battle a Highlanders squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to DuBois (DuBois, PA). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Northern Cambria falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Purchase Line (Commodore, PA) to battle the Red Dragons in a Heritage challenge on Monday, May 2. The Red Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Purchase Line lost 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Penns Manor (Clymer, PA)
