Seneca Fighting Irish (Seneca, IL) followers were pleased Thursday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the host Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL), 25-0 in a league test.

Coming up next, the Fighting Irish clash with the Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, April 29. Seneca will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 12-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Kaneland (Maple Park, IL).

The Timberwolves (0-20) will now prepare for their test against Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Panthers come into the Tri-County test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Putnam County was routed by El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 6-4, in a non-league test.
