California High School Softball - Santa Clara bounces Monta Vista

The Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) softball routed the visiting Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), 14-4 in Thursday's league bout.

The Bruins (3-17) will now prepare for their bout against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Vikings go into the El Camino bout with a 0-10 record. In their last bout, Lynbrook was routed by Cupertino (Cupertino, CA), 7-0, in a league bout.

The Matadors now possess a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Saratoga for a El Camino bout on Tuesday, May 3. Monta Vista will confront a Falcons squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 11-5.
