Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) and the visiting Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), witnessed Pulaski County's softball squad tip Radford by a count of 7-6.
The Cougars now sport a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a River Ridge match on Friday, April 29. Pulaski County will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 21-2 league loss to Salem (Salem, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-9.
With the loss, Radford moves to 1-7 on the season. The Bobcats host Alleghany (Covington, VA) to meet the Mountaineers in a Three Rivers match on Friday, April 29. The Mountaineers go into the match with a record of 4-5. Alleghany lost 11-1 in their recent league match against James River (Buchanan, VA)
