In Thursday's non-league contest, the Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) softball team overwhelmed the host South Fulton Red Devils (South Fulton, TN), by a margin of 8-3.

With the triumph, Union City moves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Golden Tornadoes host Westview (Martin, TN) to play the Chargers in a contest on Monday, May 2. The Chargers come into the contest with a record of 11-5. Westview won 17-0 in their recent non-league contest against Gibson County (Dyer, TN)

In their next game, the Red Devils play the Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 29. South Fulton will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Livingston Central (Smithland, KY).
