Ohio High School Softball - Western Reserve gets by Springfield

The Western Reserve Blue Devils nipped the host Springfield Tigers softball squad by a final score of 4-3 in Thursday's league battle.

The Blue Devils (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Youngstown, OH). The Leopards go into the non-league battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Liberty was edged by Badger (Kinsman, OH), 16-4, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Jackson-Milton for a Mahoning Valley Athletic - Scarlet battle on Monday, May 2. Springfield will meet a Bluejays squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Lowellville (Lowellville, OH). The Bluejays record now stands at 8-5.
