In Friday's league challenge, the Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), by a final score of 12-3.
With the win, Neah-Kah-Nie upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Nestucca (Cloverdale, OR) to battle the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Nestucca lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Vernonia (Vernonia, OR)
With the defeat, Rainier falls to 3-8 on the season. The Columbians host Horizon Christian (Tualatin, OR) to battle the Hawks in a 3A Special District 1 challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-5.
