East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A challenge, on Monday, May 1. East Lincoln will attempt to better on its 15-3 season record.

The Indians now have a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Statesville for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Tuesday, May 2.
