Ridgefield Spudders (Ridgefield, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Columbia River Rapids (Vancouver, WA), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Spudders now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodland for a 2A Greater St. Helens challenge on Monday, May 1. Ridgefield will battle a Beavers squad coming off a 15-5 league win over Hudson's Bay (Vancouver, WA). The Beavers record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Columbia River falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Rapids travel to Mark Morris (Longview, WA) to battle the Monarchs in a 2A Greater St. Helens challenge on Saturday, April 29. The Monarchs enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Mark Morris won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Fort Vancouver (Vancouver, WA)
