Fort Kent Warriors (Fort Kent, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME), 22-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Katahdin for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. Fort Kent will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 11-9 league win over Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Fort Fairfield falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to battle the Warriors in a Class D North challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Southern Aroostook won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME)
