Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Generals now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they host Daviess County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. Lafayette will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Henry Clay falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-13.
