Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Braves now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Anthony for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. Mt. Zion will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Paris (Paris, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-3.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Railsplitters travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-11.
