Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Sentinels now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northern Adirondack for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Monday, May 1. Ticonderoga will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Northeastern Clinton falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to face the Hornets in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Monday, May 1. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Plattsburgh won 11-3 in their recent league challenge against Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY)
