Upsala Cardinals (Upsala, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Parkers Prairie Panthers (Parkers Prairie, MN), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Upsala will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Ogilvie (Ogilvie, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Parkers Prairie falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale (Bertha, MN) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
