The Shepaug Valley Spartans softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Thomaston Bears to 3 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Shepaug Valley moves its record to 9-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT) to play the Chiefs in a Berkshire game on Wednesday, May 3. The Chiefs come into the game with a record of 8-3. Nonnewaug won 6-3 in their recent non-league game against Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT)
In their next game, the Bears play the Wamogo Regional Warriors (Litchfield, CT) in a Berkshire game, on Monday, May 1. Thomaston will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 3-6 record after their 7-5 league win over Terryville (Terryville, CT).
