Illinois High School Baseball - Benton loses to Pinckneyville

Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Benton Rangers (Benton, IL), 7-4 in a league match.

With the triumph, Pinckneyville moves its record to 11-11 on the season. The Panthers travel to Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL) to confront the Hawks in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 29. The Hawks come into the match with a record of 6-13. Gibault Catholic won 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL)

The Rangers now possess a 5-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anna-Jonesboro for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi match on Tuesday, April 29. Benton will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-10.
