The Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) baseball got by the host East Hardy Cougars (Baker, WV), 9-8 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Gobblers now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Rockbridge County for a Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 29. Broadway will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 5-3 league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, East Hardy drops to 5-10 on the year. The Cougars host Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Potomac Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Bulldogs go into the challenge with a record of 9-7. Tygarts Valley won 15-4 in their recent league challenge against Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV)
