The crowd at Monday's league battle between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), saw La Cueva's baseball team beat Capital by a margin of 11-1.

The Bears (21-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors enter the 5A District 2 battle with a 18-5 record. In their last battle, Sandia was overwhelmed by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 10-8, in a league battle.

Next, the Jaguars face the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 battle, on Saturday, May 3. Capital will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Monarchs enter the battle with a 10-12 record after their 9-5 league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
