The Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) baseball got by the visiting William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), 4-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Knights now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they host Pulaski County for a River Ridge challenge on Tuesday, April 29. Cave Spring will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 9-6 league loss to Salem (Salem, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-4.
With the defeat, William Byrd drops to 4-9 on the year. The Terriers travel to Fleming (Roanoke, VA) to clash with the Colonels in a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Colonels go into the challenge with a record of 0-11. Fleming lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Staunton River (Moneta, VA)
