Illinois High School Baseball - St. Bede edges Marquette

The crowd at Monday's league battle between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the host Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), saw St. Bede's baseball team beat Marquette by a margin of 5-3.

The Bruins (16-4) will now prepare for their battle against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Mallards enter the Tri-County battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Henry-Senachwine by Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL), 13-6, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Crusaders face the Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) in a Tri-County battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Marquette will attempt to improve on its 17-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 15-5 record after their 18-8 league loss to Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn (Roanoke, IL).
