Connecticut High School Baseball - New London holds off Wheeler

In Monday's non-league game, the host New London Whalers baseball team scored a close 9-5 victory over the Wheeler Lions.

The Whalers (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Fitch (Groton, CT). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Fitch held off Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT), 6-0, in a league game.

Next, the Lions face the Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, April 30. Wheeler will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Whippets enter the game with a 1-8 record after their 20-2 non-league loss to Stonington (Stonington, CT).
