Fans at Monday's league test between the Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI) and the host Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI), witnessed Tiverton's lacrosse squad hold off Providence Country Day by a count of 10-9.
The Tigers (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Scituate (North Scituate, RI). The Spartans go into the Division 4 outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Scituate nudged Rogers (Newport, RI), 7-3, in a league outing.
With the loss, Providence Country Day falls to 0-7 on the year. The Knights travel to St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI) to face the Bengals in a non-league outing on Monday, May 5. The Bengals go into the outing with a record of 0-7.
