Fans at Monday's league battle between the McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) and the visiting Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC), saw McMichael's soccer squad prevail over Morehead by a count of 4-0.

The Phoenix (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings enter the Mid-State 2A battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, North Forsyth tipped Walkertown (Walkertown, NC), 5-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Panthers battle the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a Mid-State 2A battle, on Thursday, May 1. Morehead will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 10-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
