The Boardman Spartans triumphed over the visiting Mathews Mustangs softball squad by a count of 16-6 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 29. Boardman will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.

The Mustangs now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Berea-Midpark for a non-league game on Thursday, May 1. Mathews will play a Titans squad coming off a 29-15 non-league win over Olmsted Falls (Olmsted Falls, OH). The Titans record now stands at 7-2.
