Tennessee High School Softball - Anderson County gets by Union County

April 28, 2025: Clinton, TN 37716

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) and the visiting Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN), observed Anderson County's softball team get by Union County by a tally of 3-2.

The Mavericks (21-11) will now prepare for their bout against Cocke County (Newport, TN). The Fighting Cocks go into the non-league bout with a 24-4 record. In their last bout, Cocke County tipped Fulton (Knoxville, TN), 1-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Wednesday, April 30. Union County will attempt to advance on its 12-10 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 1-13 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Oneida (Oneida, TN).
