New York High School Softball - Walt Whitman edges Bay Shore

In Monday's league match, the visiting Walt Whitman Wildcats softball team scored a tight 4-2 win over the Bay Shore Marauders.
The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their match against Ward Melville (East Setauket, NY). The Patriots come into the Section 11 AA-1 match with a 8-4 record. In their last match, Ward Melville nipped Connetquot (Bohemia, NY), 9-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Marauders confront the Lindenhurst Bulldogs (Lindenhurst, NY) in a Section 11 AA-1 match, on Thursday, May 1. Bay Shore will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record.
