The Francis Lewis Patriots triumphed over the host Bowne Wildcats softball squad by a count of 20-5 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots play the Newtown Pioneers (Elmhurst, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 30. Francis Lewis will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Pioneers enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 15-6 non-league win over Forest Hills (Forest Hills, NY).
The Wildcats (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Lane (Brooklyn, NY). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Lane was routed by Bayside (Bayside, NY), 15-9, in a non-league challenge.
