Burney Raiders (Burney, CA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA), 6-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Burney upgrades its record to 11-2 on the year. The Raiders host Fall River (McArthur, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 29. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 2-11. Fall River won 11-5 in their recent league game against Trinity (Weaverville, CA)
The Bears now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Modoc for a Shasta Cascade game on Friday, May 2. Mt. Shasta will play a Braves squad coming off a 19-6 league win over Weed (Weed, CA). The Braves record now stands at 8-9.
