New Mexico High School Softball - La Cueva bounces Capital

The La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) softball routed the visiting Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), 16-1 in Monday's league outing.

The Bears now sport a 20-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rio Rancho for a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 30. La Cueva will encounter a Rams team coming off a 7-6 league loss to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Rams record now stands at 15-9.

With the loss, Capital moves to 12-11 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Manzano (Albuquerque, NM) to encounter the Monarchs in a 5A District 2 outing on Saturday, May 3. The Monarchs come into the outing with a record of 5-19. Manzano lost 18-2 in their recent league outing against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM)
