In Monday's league match, the host Central Crossing Comets softball team scored a tight 2-1 win over the Grove City Greyhounds.
The Comets (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Dublin Coffman (Dublin, OH). The Shamrocks come into the non-league match with a 9-9 record. In their last match, Dublin Coffman was nipped by Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH), 9-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Greyhounds battle the Olentangy Liberty Patriots (Powell, OH) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 1. Grove City will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 13-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Olentangy Orange (Lewis Center, OH).
