The Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) softball routed the host South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 7-0 in Monday's league outing.

The Mountaineers now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Gaston for a Big South 3A outing on Friday, May 2. Kings Mountain will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 10-6 league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-13.

With the loss, South Point moves to 12-8 on the season. The Red raiders travel to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC) to encounter the Storm in a Big South 3A outing on Tuesday, April 29. The Storm come into the outing with a record of 6-10. Stuart W. Cramer won 8-5 in their recent league outing against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)
