Illinois High School Softball - Marquette bounces St. Bede

April 28, 2025: Ottawa, IL 61350

The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the visiting St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL), observed Marquette's softball team get by St. Bede by a tally of 9-5.

The Crusaders (15-4) will now prepare for their bout against Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Panthers go into the Tri-County bout with a 12-10 record. In their last bout, Putnam County was routed by Earlville (Earlville, IL), 7-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bruins clash with the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Tuesday, April 29. St. Bede will attempt to advance on its 11-6 season record. The Mallards go into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Stark County (Toulon, IL).
