The North Hills Indians edged the visiting Plum Mustangs softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Monday's league challenge.
Next, the Indians meet the Penn Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge, on Wednesday, April 30. North Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 2-15 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA).
The Mustangs (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against New Castle (New Castle, PA). The Hurricanes enter the challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, New Castle was nudged by Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA), 10-9, in a non-league challenge.
