The Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) baseball the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), 4-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Buccaneers now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a challenge on Friday, May 1. Laney will clash with a Scorpions team coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 12-9.
With the defeat, New Hanover drops to 8-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 1. The Pirates go into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Topsail won 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC)
