Pennsylvania High School Softball - Sullivan County topped by Northwest Area

April 28, 2026: Laporte, PA 18626

Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Sullivan County Griffins (Laporte, PA), 18-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Northwest Area upgrades its record to 14-0 on the year. The Rangers host Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA) to play the Rams in a Mid-Penn D4 game on Thursday, April 30. The Rams enter the game with a record of 5-8.

The Griffins now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Sugar Valley Rural for a Mid-Penn D4 game on Thursday, April 30. Sullivan County will play a Phoenix squad coming off a 24-13 league win over Muncy (Muncy, PA). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-10.

The Sullivan County (Laporte, PA) varsity softball team lost Tuesday's home conference game against Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA) by a score of 18-0.
