Virginia High School Softball - Stuarts Draft bounces Riverheads

April 28, 2026: Staunton, VA 24401

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Stuarts Draft Cougars softball team scored a nice 16-1 win over the Riverheads Gladiators.

The Cougars (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Indians come into the Shenandoah match with a 7-6 record. In their last match, Fort Defiance notched a victory over Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA), 13-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Gladiators battle the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) in a Shenandoah match, on Friday, May 1. Riverheads will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Bison come into the match with a 11-2 record after their 10-7 league win over Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).
