North Carolina High School Baseball - Polk County loses to East Rutherford

The Polk County Wolverines baseball team (Columbus, NC), was overwhelmed 12-1 in Friday's league outing with the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC)
The Cavaliers now hold a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Henderson for a non-league outing on Monday, May 2. East Rutherford will confront a Knights team coming off a 8-1 league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Knights record now stands at 15-7.
Next, the Wolverines confront the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A outing, on Tuesday, May 3. Polk County will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a 12-7 record after their 9-5 non-league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
