The Winslow Black Raiders got by the visiting Maine Central Institute Huskies baseball team by a count of 9-8 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Black Raiders now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oceanside for a Class B North bout on Thursday, May 5. Winslow will face a Mariners team coming off a 13-1 league win over Belfast (Belfast, ME). The Mariners record now stands at 1-4.
Next, the Huskies face the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 2. Maine Central Institute will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Black Bears enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME).
