The Fremont Firebirds held off the host Wilcox Chargers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's league test.
The Firebirds now have a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Clara for a test on Wednesday, May 4. Fremont will confront a Bruins team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Gunn (Palo Alto, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 1-10.
The Chargers (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Eagles enter the test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Los Altos held off Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA), 2-1, in a league test.
