Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Demons confront the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 2. Christiansburg will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 2-1 league loss to Staunton River (Moneta, VA).

The Knights now have a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Patrick Henry for a River Ridge challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Cave Spring will confront a Patriots team coming off a 4-0 league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-5.
