The Amherst County Lancers crushed the visiting Jefferson Forest Cavaliers baseball team by a tally of 11-3 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Lancers now hold a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they host Halifax County for a non-league bout on Monday, May 2. Amherst County will face a Comets team coming off a 11-5 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Comets record now stands at 4-0.
Next, the Cavaliers face the Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 2. Jefferson Forest will attempt to advance on its 10-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 11-0 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Brookville (Lynchburg, VA).
